Cookies & website traffic
A clear explanation of browser storage, technical requests and the tracking choices on this website.

1. What is used now
Cookies are small items stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage, tracking pixels or access to device information. The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) cover storage and access technologies, including some that do not involve personal information.
Normal browsing of this website does not intentionally set an application cookie. No advertising, visitor analytics, embedded social media trackers or session replay tools are installed. Form drafts are kept in temporary page memory rather than cookies or persistent browser storage. Fonts and images are served with the website.
No optional-cookie consent banner is currently shown because there are no optional tracking tools to switch on. This does not mean that every future tool would be exempt from consent.
2. Current technology list
| Technology | Purpose & status | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry draft in page memory | Holds your choices while you prepare a brief. Active; no cookie or local storage entry. | Until discarded by a full reload, closing the page or the form’s state being reset. |
| Downloaded project brief | A text file you ask to save. Active; it is a local download, not a tracking cookie or an upload. | Until you delete the saved file. |
| Enquiry anti-spam counter | Server-side counter using a hashed network address and submission hashes. No cookie or browser storage entry. | Ten-minute counting window; inactive server records are periodically removed. |
| Analytics & advertising storage | Not installed. No visitor profiling, advertising pixels or session recording. | Not applicable. |
The browser may cache site files or retain autofill data under its own settings. That is separate from an application cookie intentionally created by this site.
3. Website traffic & technical records
Pages and assets are requested from the website server. Those requests can carry the network address, requested path, time, browser information and referrer. The hosting server’s technical logs may retain request paths, response status and errors. We do not use an installed analytics service to track who browses the site.
A future public hosting or security service may keep technical logs to operate and protect the website. Its actual provider, collected information, retention and any applicable browser technologies will need to be identified before launch. Server logs are not cookies, but personal information in logs still needs appropriate data protection safeguards. See the privacy notice.
4. Your choices & future tools
You can inspect, block or remove cookies and clear cached data using your browser settings. Blocking a genuinely necessary technology may affect the feature that needs it. Removing a cookie does not delete a file you have downloaded or a message you have independently sent.
If advertising or other consent-dependent tracking is added, it will remain off until you make an informed choice. Refusing will be as easy as accepting, choices will be specific to their purposes, and you will be able to withdraw consent through an accessible settings control. Merely browsing or scrolling will not count as consent.
The current UK rules allow narrowly defined exceptions, including communication and strictly necessary uses. Some statistical or appearance-related uses may also qualify, but only when their conditions are met, including clear information and a simple, free way to object where required. We will assess the actual tool and configuration before using an exception. This website currently uses no statistical analytics tool.
A provider calling a tool “cookieless” does not alone establish that it is exempt from PECR or data protection law. Any future cookie or similar technology list must identify its purpose, provider, duration and applicable choice.
5. Questions & updates
Read our privacy notice for privacy rights and complaints. For questions about cookies or privacy, email [email protected]. The enquiry form sends information through the hosting server’s mail system to the business mailbox. We will update this notice when the technology actually used by the website changes.
